See Something, Say Something
One of the most powerful things we can do for other people is to give feedback.
Unsolicited, unexpected, positive feedback, is especially impactful. It can also be especially challenging to give.
Giving this kind of feedback can really feel like sticking your neck way out there. Telling someone that you see them, and what you see, is being generous. But it's also being vulnerable.
Do it anyway.
Having experienced it myself, I can tell you firsthand that there are few things more powerful than the validation of someone telling you - without having been asked to do so - that you matter and how you matter.
And if someone gives you this gift, give it right back to them by telling them what it means to you to have received it.
