Five Things I've Learned From FastCo's 2016 Most Creative People in Business
Have you seen FastCo's list of 2016's Most Creative People in Business? Here are a few things I've noticed about these 100 people doing amazing things:
Some of them have almost no followers on Twitter. So next time you bemoan your Twitter influence, just remind yourself that Twitter followers are not the end all be all of work that makes a difference.
There are a lot of artists on the list. Being a creative person in business doesn't necessarily mean you wear a suit or work in an office. In fact, the list is topped by Lin-Manuel Miranda.
There are 54 women on the list of 100 visionaries. Worth noting for sure.
They work everywhere. They work in brand juggernauts like Apple and Netflix. Startups changing the world like Global Citizen Year and JustLeadershipUSA. Science. Entertainment. Tech.
They're solving problems the world needs solved and problems we didn't even know we wanted solved. Yes, solving the one problem clinicians most need addressed is worthy of this list. But did you know there was a better alternative to old-school infomercials?
I'm looking forward to continuing to explore this list, to learning from these visionaries who are making a difference.
What have you noticed about the people on the list and the work they're doing?
