Are You Choosing the Uphill Battle?

On my run the other day, I realized that my way home was pretty much all downhill, with the exception of a few small slopes. (In case you're not paying attention) That means my run on the way out was nearly 100% uphill.

I've lived here for three years. I've run the same route every time I got out, all spring-summer-fall (I don't run when it's under 45 degrees). And the question rose up within me. Why have I chosen every time to go all uphill all the time?

Life's not all uphill. Unless you make it that way.

Ever since that day, I've been mixing up my routes. And reminding myself on every uphill slog that the downhill rush is coming.
